Back From Guilin
11 Oct 2008
It's Saturday afternoon and I got home at 11 pm last night from the airport. It was actually pretty tiring and I was upset that I had to come back so early.
To tell the truth, I like not coming back to Shanghai and just hanging out with my friends in the countryside. Fun times.
Now, I still have an essay to finish and three quizzes to study for before Monday comes around. Lawl, this is pretty buttface. My class is so separated since we're split into two different schedules so half the people I never get to see and it just really sucks. ![]()
Anyhew, aside from all the saddening bits and pieces, the China trip was pretty amazing
Basically, we went through three days of physical challenges and team building which was hilarious. The first day we went biking for three hours in the mountains and that was pretty crap. I managed to choose a bike that keep creaking when I sped up and that scared the crap out of me.
I managed to fall into a thornbush
, and I still have a splinter stuck in my hand which I can't seem to get out. Ick. That was pretty disastrous, but asides from that I had a lot fun.
We went into mud caves, haha, I wish I had pictures but I didn't want to lose my camera in all the muddy frenzy. We were smashing mud into each others faces and now my blue bikini with white flowers is brown and won't wash out. Haha, lucky me.
Not really. The last day we went rock climbing and that was intense.
, but I loved it. And my friends some awesome pictures of me (failing) at rock climbing. Haha. ![]()
For one of our team building activities, we were split into two teams and given bamboo, rope and four barrels to create our own raft and paddle it down a river. Basically, one we put our raft into the water, it started to fall apart but we're pretty headstrong and forced our raft to work.
The barrels were popping out from underneath our raft, and when we sat on it half our bodies submerged into the water. In the end, three out of six of our members ended up pushing the raft. Haha, we had one girl who went pretty crazy cause our raft was going backwards and basically smacked everyone in the face with the paddle. It was hilarious. ![]()
It's so different there, because the water was so clean and nice. There were cows and horses everywhere and now I'm back in populated Shanghai where the number of cars could make up its own country.
Sitewise, nothing has been up. I'm glad my site hasn't died because I left it for four days.
I noticed that half of my affiliates went into major revamps. Aw, I'll miss them, but aside from that, I have a new affiliate. Aaron and Zeynep. Woot. One more thing, I need help, big time. Is this layout aligned towards the right? if it is please tell me.
It looks fine on my computer with Mozilla Firefox and Internet Explorer, but on an Safari everything is smushed towards to right. It sucks and if someone could help me fix it, I will love you.
