Since nobody commented on my last post, I’m going to guess nobody actually read it. I converted my small little project into the layout you’re currently veiwing right now. I’m going to use my left sidebar for things that match the page (alternating sidebars) that your viewing, once I dig up the link somewhere.
I’m currently taking feedback on the layout. I’m not a squishy person, so if you really think its horrible tell me, and if you find any errors or things that look weird: tell me. The layout is supposed to look like this: click me. If it doesn’t take a screen shot for me, and just leave a comment.
I’m going to convert “Enchant” into a Wordpress theme. It’s worth a try, plus practice makes perfect.
Should I use asides (categories/selected posts that are displayed where other blogs are) in the second sidebar on the right? I can’t think of anything to put in that sidebar. But I love how it looks, so I want to keep the double sidebars.
PS. Decorated textareas and input forms or plain ones decided on your browser?
Since the title is really useless on actually telling you about this blog, so I’ll just explain it in this list.
- What are the purposes of a podcasts? (this is a question, not and question & answer (aka: q&a)
- Updated Enchant: My enhanced DIV project.
- ‘Feedburner’ verses ‘Wordpress Gererated’ Feed (question, not q&a)
Beginning off according to the list: What are the purposes of podcasts, and what are they? That I have absolutely no knowledge of. Help? I think they’re live blogs?? I already looked it up, but the definition I found was useless. Rant: I’ve seen sites offer a program but they don’t actually tell you what it does. I read the About page and they basically say this is a program that helps do things. Uh.. what things?
Quick Link: “Enchant”
I’m trying to decide between the feed that Wordpress generates or the one that Feedburner generates. I know that Feedburner has the subscribe monitoring options but Wordpress is nice and simple. It does what it needs to do.
Am I the only person afraid of making my own Wordpress theme? I make great sketches of future layouts on paper, but my sucky graphic making has made me resort to my base coding skills. I can code XHTML Valid and all that, but my CSS skills are in the dugout! I can can do what anyone can do with CSS, but my positioning skills are the worst ever.
According to Jem at Jemjabella.co.uk I have to go work on my web vocabulary, and thank you for correcting me, therefore I will no longer make a fool out of myself.
Back to my sucky positioning, I have dealt with the whole “float: left” and “float: right” but I cannot move away from the magnety forces of the great totally and officially fixed layout. The crap I can code stays in one place. See if I made a 200×200 box in the far left corner, people who have larger resolutions would not even notice the thing. Centering things = Living Nightmares!
