08′ Game Plan

9/22/08: Here is where I put all my little explanations for each site I had (main blog, side site, wordpress account, twitter, and livejournal). This was a super boring/lame entry. *deletes*

(order: game plan, site plan, final plan)

Crap Begins Now: For my collection of sites; The Insiders, Thunder, Corners, and TorchFlame. And mini sites: Rotate, and Bella. I’m working out the details for the goals, resolutions, and organization.

The Insiders is currently a personal site, and blog. For 2008 I’m going to filter some of the content on the blog. No fandoms, plugs, etc. thrown in the mix. I’m going to keep it with in the boundaries within a personal site, and life. Bella will still be stationed here.

Thunder is my newest installment. It’s purpose is mainly a portfolio with some resources thrown in the mix. It’s going to hold my mini-site: Rotate, my mini collection of icons (currently only Blair Waldorf ones).

Rotate is going on to bigger things, more icons, subjects, and of the namesake I’ll offer rotating icon codes provided by AListApart. Mentioned before, I’ll be moving it to Thunder.

Corners is still going to hold my writing and stuff like that, but I want to move the Gossip Girl reviews from this blog to Corners so it’s a little more organized. So I won’t be posting any types of Media friendly entries on this blog.

TorchFlame which currently is un-updated but frequently checked. So I’ll be starting a daily business-day blog. I doubt I’ll be posting more than 200 words on the entries, but it works for me. I’ll be posting all the fandom-type entries on there as well.

So those are all my plans on my sites for now. I’ll update on how the plans are going in a week after Jan 1st. I won’t 100% start them until January 1st. I’ll post my new years’ resolution tomorrow.

PS. I’ll add the appropriate links when I have the chance.

Remembered

I scraped the original idea to use the palette ‘washed up sea’.

I finished the layout I’ve been working on. The inspiration was mainly based on crayons chose by a classmate of mines, the colors were black, purple, and a shade of teal. It was very hard to recreate the teal color, I had to break out PhotoShop to select one.

I had a lot of grief with the header and sidebar. Getting enough padding on the sidebar was difficult, and choosing the right radius for the rounded corner was confusing. ‘Shaping’ the header was just very weird. I originally started out with a block of color, than I changed it to a gradient with a triangle cut-out pattern at the bottom. I really liked the last one but it was impossible to include a triangle pattern on the sidebars (when I did it it looked great, I just didn’t figure it out until I tested it) because of its fluid design.

The text was really easy to do, and colors were super easy to pick. But I do have to change the date, and comment styles, I don’t want to reuse as I’m currently using the style for my other site. This layout counts as the January Layout.

Long Walks, Long Talks, and Black Holes

A.K.A: a year in re-cap. This year, like most was moderate. Temperature wise, temperate. Kinda like living life, passing by, almost as if you’re not really there. When people age, they look back on their lives, they either regret, or wouldn’t change it for a thing. I’m two of the above, both. Sure there were some stupid choices, and I regret wasting a lot of the year, but I wouldn’t change them.

My slacker-ish ways were defining. I’m truly a sloth like character. I love to be a little spontaneous, and a bit demeaning. I do like attention, mainly positive. I like living life with a little danger, challenging myself, after-all I am a wimp. There were good memories and positive thoughts (in retrospect) this year. Maybe it won’t be so bad next year.

Christmas Cards

In my joined-families we like to send Christmas Cards. This year I want to make cards instead of just buying them and shipping them out. To me the cards are like a competition. My cousin: Melissa she has these awesome cards (all stamped, and mini, it’s just really sweet).

My plan this year is to make better cards than Melissa. I want to do a family portrait (3.5×4.5 in) with gallery style borders, with a green or red frame. I want to do a green or red envelope too. To close the envelope, I have holiday stickers from a couple years back. I have to go find Holiday style stamps too.

That’s my Christmas Goal this year, off to go make a demo.
