Endings

In Movies: the Happily Ever Afters, the Tragic Ending that signifies that the story just can’t continue, or the Cliffhanger that just leaves you wanting more. Which do we consider is better, be it any movie?

Happily ever afters are sometimes considered unfinished stories. They aren’t realistic, but they offer closure compared to other endings. When watching movies do we desire closure or perhaps some realism?

When watching tragic endings, you can’t help but feel sad. Are they just lack of a resolution, or do they carry a sense of reality that’s meaningful?

If you don’t fancy resolutions, nor enlightenment, we have cliffhangers to end our stories. For lack of words, I can’t even begin to describe how pissed off how some cliffhangers make me. Are cliffhangers just preludes to a worse outcome?

In conclusion can any endings equate to our standards, or are they just too high?
